I chose the name Top Floor Designs for my freelance graphic design business back in 1992. I lived on the top floor of a duplex, and liked the way the name combined my actual physical location with my plan to offer top quality design services.

Computers are great tools, but after a few years of
designing on one, I really missed creating things with
my hands. I began building a different kind of design
business in 1999 but kept the Top Floor Designs name and the attitude about offering creative, unique design.

Now I design, write and teach for the craft and
creative industry. My projects and articles are
featured in craft magazines and books. I teach classes that range from small group sessions at rubber stamp stores to large trade show audiences.

Thanks for reading my ramblings. Now, go check out my portfolio and let me know if I can help you with your next creative industry project.

Thanks,
Mary Lynn Maloney
