Our new ride: The art car

In Spring, 2003 I decided it was time to spruce up my 13 year old Miata. The car was looking tired; it was dented, and the paint was peeling and oxidizing. But just painting it seemed sort of boring. After spying some cool art cars at a festival I made up my mind to turn my little car into an art car. So, with a little help from our friends--about 25--the Miata underwent a transformation on the weekends during the months of April and May. The results are spectacular. The "MiArta," as it's now known, is fun, funky, and beautiful. Here are some photos of the process.
