Remember comic books?! Did you ever notice that every sentence in them ends in an exclamation point?! That’s how every sentence describing New Zealand has to end! The natural scenery here is fabulous! Mountains, fjiords, wild beaches! Well, you get the picture. It really is a nature freak’s paradise. And quite a few freaks of nature have come here to enjoy it. If you missed your chance to buy crystals or experience aromatherapy in California, then you’ll definitely have the opportunity here.

Extreme outdoor sports abound! Bungy jumping, white water rafting, parachuting, jet-boating,para-gliding, canyoneering, and my favorite, shooting rapids with a body board, wet suit and fins but no boat. O YEAH! Although we looked, we found no XTREME mopedding. So they’re not as on top of the extreme sports scene as they like to think.

ML did all of the above. I just watched.

We also sailed for two days on Doubtful Sound, snorkeled with seals and dolphins, walked on FoxGlacier, and experienced an incredible horse ride at Cape Farewell in 40mph winds. The horses were blown sideways! My saddle sores have almost healed.
