It all seems even more eerie looking back on it but that is one aspect of spending time in Thailand. Things that stand out as way weird or down right objectionable just work their way into the background pattern. It is a pattern, however, that weaves a wonderful and fascinating tapestry.

We’ve left Thailand behind now. We woke up in Singapore to a sparkling clean First World shoppers’ paradise. You want it - they got it. We didn’t want anything but some new underwear and a pair of socks, so we split after a wonderful meal with some friends-of-friends from America and are now in Jakarta, enjoying a deliciously relaxing stay with relatives-of-relatives for a few days. Next to Borobudur, then perhaps Bali and maybe some Komodo dragons if it works out. We never really know...
